Samsung Galaxy Xcover 2 - Rugged Android Smartphone Unveiled |

Samsung's Galaxy range might attract most of the attention these days , but the Korean company are still producing other great smartphones. One such smartphone is the freshly unveiled Samsung Galaxy Xcover 2 , which is a rugged Android mobile.


The Samsung Galaxy Xcover 2 is aimed at those who live an active outdoor lifestyle. The smartphone is IP57 certified meaning that it can be submerged in a metre of water for up to 30 minutes and it'll still work perfectly.


Samsung's Galaxy Xcover 2 can also take photographs underwater thanks to the inclusion of a direct camera key. Additionally, the smartphone is both dust and sand-proof making it perfect for the beach and the great outdoors.


Samsung have also pre-installed Google Maps data on the Xcover 2 so you can still use the navigation software in rural areas. Additionally, the smartphones supports GPS + GLONASS which enables satellites to track your position 20 per cent more accurately which makes it the perfect mobile for outdoor explorers.


What about the rest of the Galaxy Xcover 2's specification ?


The Samsung Galaxy Xcover 2 has a 4 inch touch-screen (800×480 pixels) , while it's powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor and comes pre-loaded with Android Jelly Bean. The smartphone also has a 5 mega-pixel rear-facing camera and a front-facing VGA snapper for video calling.


You'll also be glad to hear that Samsung's smartphone has excellent battery life thanks to it's 1700 mAH battery. This gives the Xcover 2 570 hours of standby time so you'll never be left stranded without battery life.


Samsung havn't unveiled either the launch date or the price of the Galaxy Xcover 2. However, as soon as 3G get more information you'll be the first to know.
