Samsung Galaxy S4 - Rumour Round-Up

Over the last few months we've heard a whole host of rumours about Samsung's Galaxy S4. We thought we'd bring all those rumours together to give you a summary of what we've heard about Samsung's next flagship smartphone so far.

Russian site Rozetked has been particularly helpful by producing a render of the Samsung Galaxy S4 which incorporates a lot of the information that's been leaked about Samsung's smartphone. We've posted the video above for you to checkout !

The render produced isn't the most beautifully designed smartphone we've ever seen. However, we have used the video and the information contained as inspiration for this article. So what do we know about the Galaxy SIV ?

What touch-screen display will the Galaxy S4 feature ?

According to the majority of rumours reported the Samsung Galaxy S4 will have a 5 inch AMOLED display. The resolution of the display is thought to be 1920 * 1080 pixels (or 1080p) which would make it truly stunning for viewing multimedia content and playing games.

We've also heard that the Galaxy S4 will incorporate unbreakable touch-screen technology. In order to achieve this feat the display would be made from plastic substrate and we're pretty excited by the idea.

What camera  will the Galaxy S4 to have ?

The Samsung Galaxy S4 is expected to have a 13 mega-pixel snapper which will incorporate the very latest in camera technology. The camera will be produced by Sony and it goes without saying that it'll be capable of recording full 1080p video and is also sure to include some innovative new features.

How much power will the Galaxy S4 have ?

Samsung Exynos

As you'd expect for a next-gen flagship smartphone Samsung's Galaxy S4 will be a real beast. Rumours suggest that it'll have a whopping 2GHz quad-core processor made by Samsung themselves.

The Exynos processor will be backed up by 2GB of RAM which will make the Samsung Galaxy S4 an amazingly powerful device capable of easily blowing away anything currently available.

What operating system will the Galaxy S4 adopt ?

Samsung have included Google Android on all of its flagship Galaxy smartphones and they arn't about to break that trend with the release of the Galaxy S4.

Infact, the Galaxy SIV is widely expected to come pre-loaded with Android Key Lime Pie (5.0). Key Lime Pie is yet to be released and Samsung's new smartphone could be one of the first devices to run on the new operating system.

The Samsung S4 will support 4G

Like all next-gen smartphones the Samsung Galaxy S4 looks certain to support 4G which opens up whole new possibilities including HD video streaming, amazing multi-player gaming and super-fast web-browsing.

Support for 4G makes the Galaxy S4 a dead-cert to be available from EE who already offer the service in the UK. At the current time we're not sure whether the Galaxy S4 will launch before the other operators roll-out 4G.

Will the Samsung Galaxy S4 include the S-Pen interface?

Samsung S-Pen

Just today we heard rumours, being reported by GSMArena , that the Galaxy S4 will come with Samsung's S-Pen interface. The S-Pen interface was introduced with the Galaxy Note and incorporates a stylus and special applications that make a devices user-interface even better.

The 5 inch touch-screen would be more than large enough to justify the inclusion of the S-Pen interface. However, we're doubting whether Samsung would include the S-Pen interface in the S4 because it might devalue the Galaxy Note range.

When will Samsung officially unveil the Samsung Galaxy S4 ?

Samsung are expected to unveil the Galaxy S4 in April which sits well with Google's May unveiling of the new Android Key Lime Pie operating system. We would then expect Samsung to launch the Galaxy S4 shortly after its unveiling with a launch around the middle of 2013 looking likely.

As soon as 3G hear more about the Galaxy S4 you'll be the first to know !
