Owners of the Samsung Galaxy S3 can now download and install Android Jelly Bean on their smartphone after the operator confirmed they've made the update available.
Android Jelly Bean (4.1.2) can be downloaded using Samsung's Kies software and owners of the smartphone should automatically receive an update notification. If that isn't the case then they can check manually for an update in their smartphones settings.
As always we recommend users backup their data and settings before they install the update in-case anything goes wrong. The update to Jelly Bean is highly recommended even if its just to benefit from all the latest security and bug fixes.
Android Jelly Bean brings a whole number of new features to Samsung's Galaxy SIII including "Multiview" which enables true split-screen multi-tasking on the smartphone. "Page Buddy" is also a new addition which is a feature that opens a dedicated home-screen based on certain conditions, such as connecting headphones.
Other new additions include support for actions inside the notification bar, continuous text-input (similar to Swype) and an update gallery application. Users will also notice a general improvement in the reliability and speed of the operating system.
Three have some amazing Samsung Galaxy S3 deals available on their online store which those interested in buying the smartphone might want to checkout. That includes contracts offering unlimited data starting at just £32 a month.
