A new Polaroid tablet has been announced which has been designed exclusively for kids. The 7 inch tablet has been officially licensed by Polaroid and is manufactured by Southern Telecom.
The Polaroid Kids Tablet runs on Android Ice Cream Sandwich and comes pre-loaded with a whole host of content for young children. The tablet comes with a suite of customised applications including Kids Cam, Music Studio and Draw.
Parents will be glad to hear that content on the tablet can be configured stop them looking at things they shouldn't be. Infact, the tablet even comes pre-loaded with Kids Vids which enables them to stream from a collection of safe and filtered videos.
Anyone who has ever let their kids lose on Google Play or iTunes will know how quickly they can spend money. So you'll be glad to hear that the Polaroid Tablet includes Free Play which displays a list of free/games and applications aimed at children.
The Polaroid Tablet is even educational because it includes a selection of interactive children's books. Additionally, you can access NOOK where you can download from a massive range of books.
One of the major concerns when giving any expensive electric item to a child is them breaking it. Well, the Polaroid Camera has innovative side and rear bumpers to protect the tablet from drops and spills.
The technical specification of the Polaroid Tablet includes a 7 inch touch-screen (800*480 pixels) , 1 GHz processor, 512MB of RAM, 8GB of on-board memory and a 2 mega-pixel camera. While the tablet supports WiFi and runs on Android Ice Cream Sandwich.
