Earlier in the month we brought you news that Huawei were going to release a new flagship Android smartphone known as the Huawei Ascend P2. Now even more details about the smartphone and a press image have surfaced !
The previous leak suggested that the Ascend P2 would have a 5 inch display running at a resolution of 1280*720 pixels. However, this latest leak suggests it'll have a 4.5 inch full HD display (1920*1080 pixels) giving it a significantly higher PPI than previously predicted.
Huawei's Ascend P2 is thought to come with a 1.8 GHz quad-core Hisilicon K3V2 processor and 2GB of RAM. This reiterates previous information and will provide the smartphone with more than enough to offer an amazing Android experience, excellent multimedia performance and multi-tasking.
The Ascend P2 is also rumoured to have a stunning 13 mega-pixel camera, come pre-loaded with Android Jelly Bean and have a 3000 mAH battery. Supported connectivity is predicted to include 3G, WiFi, NFC and 4G !
A leaked press image (posted above) accompanied the specification and we really like the look of the Ascend P2. We think the symmetrical angular design gives the smartphone a premium appearance , while it also looks to be wafer-thin.
Overall we're pretty impressed by the Ascend P2, but we're interested to find out how it'll be priced because it's entering a very competitive market dominated by Apple and Samsung. However, if the price is right we can see it proving pretty successful !
We don't have official confirmation on when Huawei will unveil the Ascend P2 but we'd predict it'll debut at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next month. As soon as 3G get more news on the Ascend P2 we'll let you know.
