Earlier this month we reported on rumours that HTC would unveiling the HTC M7 on February 19th. This information has now been confirmed because HTC have sent out invites to a London press event taking place on the date mentioned.
At the event HTC will showcase the HTC M7 which is the companies next flagship smartphone that has a cutting-edge specification. Interestingly, the M7's unveiling is taking place before this years Mobile World Congress, which HTC hope will give the smartphone more media attention.
Information leaked online has given us a good idea of what to expect from HTC's M7 and a leaked image has even appeared (posted above). The image itself doesn't tell us much about the smartphone, but thankfully a leaked specification accompanied the snap.
The HTC M7 is expected to have a 4.7 inch touch-screen running at a resolution of 1920*1080 pixels. This makes it HTC's first full HD smartphone and gives the display a PPI (pixels-per-inch) rating of over 440 , which blows away the iPhone 5 and Galaxy S3.
HTC's smartphone will be powered by a 1.7 GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor, while it'll also have 2GB of RAM and 32GB of on-board memory. This puts it right up there with the most powerful smartphones in the world !
HTC's M7 also has a 13 mega-pixel rear-facing camera and supports Beats Audio technology making it the perfect mobile for multimedia fanatics. The smartphone also comes pre-loaded with Android Jelly Bean and supports super-fast 4G networks.
The HTC M7 should hit stores shortly after its unveiling on February 17th. We're hoping it'll be available on EE's 4G network and we're confident that all the other major UK operators will be keen to offer the smartphone on their 3G networks.
At the current time we have no idea how much the smartphone will cost, but if we have to guess we'd expect it to be priced around £500.< Back
