Blackberry unveiled their new Blackberry 10 smartphones at launch events across the globe yesterday. The company revealed two new smartphones running on the new platform with both the Blackberry Z10 and the QWERTY Blackberry Q10 unveiled.
We brought you details of the Blackberry Q10 yesterday which is a 4G smartphone with a full QWERTY keyboard. Now it's time for us to tell you all about the full touch-screen Blackberry Z10 !
The Blackberry Z10 is a high-end smartphone that has a 4.2 inch touch-screen running at a resolution of 1280 * 720 pixels. That gives the Blackberry 10 smartphone a pixels per inch (PPI) of 356 which is higher than Apple's iPhone 5.
Powering the Z10 is a dual-core 1.5 Ghz Snapdragon processor which is backed up by 2GB of RAM. Even though it doesn't have a quad-core processor the Blackberry Z10 is a pretty powerful device, especially for a Blackberry device.
Blackberry's Z10 has 16GB of on-board memory, but the good news is this can be expanded by another 64GB using microSD cards. The smartphone also has an 8 mega-pixel snapper with LED flash and a front-facing 2 mega-pixel snapper for BBM video calling !
When it comes to connectivity the Blackberry Z10 supports 4G, 3G, WiFi, NFC and Bluetooth. One of the major strengths of the smartphone is that it comes with Blackberry 10, which we'll be looking at in depth later today !
The Blackberry Z10 should already be available to buy from EE, O2, Vodafone, Phones 4u, BT, 3UK and the Carphone Warehouse. EE will be the only operator offering the smartphone with 4G capabilities, so those interested in the super-speed network don't have much choice !
