Earlier in the week we reported that Apple were working on a 128GB model of the iPad 4. Well , amazingly Apple have now confirmed that the new higher capacity model will be available to buy on February 5th !
When we highlighted the existence of the tablet at the start of the week we couldn't have imagined it would be available to buy just a week later. The iPad 128GB will appear on Apple's store next week, but be warned it doesn't come cheap.
The WiFi only 128GB iPad 4 is priced at a staggering £639, while those looking to get the version supporting 3G & 4G will be looking at a massive £739. That's a huge amount of money and we can't see Apple selling a lot of them especially with the advent of cloud-based storage.
Aside from the increased storage capacity the new 128GB iPad 4 is identical to the other models. That means it has the same stunning 9.7 inch Retina display (2048x1536 pixels) and is powered by Apple's A6X processor.
The iPad 4 also has a 5 mega-pixel rear-facing camera, a front-facing 1.3 mega-pixel snapper and comes pre-loaded with iOS 6.1 , which is the very latest version of Apple's operating system. You can read our full review of the iPad 4 by clicking here.
