Nokia are going to release Symbian Belle, the latest update to the Symbian platform, next month.
Nokia's Vietnamese division accidentally leaked a page on their site stating that Nokia's Symbian Belle update would be launching on February 8th.
Nokia's Symbian platform has now been dropped in favour of the Windows operating system in smartphones, but that hasn't stopped Nokia supporting the mobiles that already run on the platform. Mobiles expected to receive the Symbian Belle update include the Nokia N8, Nokia E7, Nokia E6 , Nokia X7 and the Nokia C6-01.
The Symbian Belle update includes a number of improvements and features on the previous version.
Major improvements are added to the user-interface which is now smoother , faster and incorporates some of Android's most popular features such as the slide notification bar. Users will also benefit from faster web-browsing , as well as re-sizable home-screen widgets.
Users will need to connect their mobile to their PC to update to Symbian Belle and as soon as 3G becomes aware of its availability we'll let you know.
