The Samsung Galaxy Note has received a new update that brings a number of improvements to Samsung's hybrid device.
The update highlights one interesting point that sometimes big is bad. Many owners of the Galaxy Note, which has a 5.3 inch touch-screen, complained that they couldn't type with one-hand due to the size of the touch-screen.
In response Samsung have updated the QWERTY keyboard which can now be scaled down and aligned to either the left or right of the screen. In addition they've also added numbers to the main keyboard, removing the necessity to keep switching modes.
The lock-screen also suffered from an issue to the Galaxy Note's screen size. Previously , you had to swipe across the whole screen which was difficult on such a large device , but they've now made it more compact.
The final new addition is that of a dedicated Torch app, which uses the Note's LED flash to bring light to the darkness.
The Samsung Galaxy Note update is available now for unlocked Galaxy Note's and can be downloaded over-the-air. Once 3G hears news of specific operators releasing the update we'll let you know.
