O2 Bringing Free WiFi To Tragus Resturants
![]() |
O2 have made an agreement with the restaurant company Tragus to offer free WiFi in their stores. Tragus own a number of restaurants in the UK including Cafe Rouge and some of the Bella Italia and Strada stores.
In total O2 will be installing free WiFi in 120 stores across the UK which can then be used free by Tragus's customers.
O2 have really been pushing free WiFi networks in recent times and it seems a huge growth area for the company. Earlier in the year O2 announced they'd be installing the largest free WiFi network in Europe in London in-time for the Olympics.
At the moment the folks at 3G can't work out if O2 are conducting the exercise to build their brand and for advertising purposes or whether they hope to gain a monopoly control over public WiFi networks in the UK.
