Motorola have released Android Ice Cream Sandwich for its Motorola XOOM tablet.

The update has begun rolling out in the US, but we've yet to receive confirmation on when it'll come to the UK.

The update to Android 4.0 brings so many improvements we couldn't possibly document them all here. However, you get an improved user-interface, updated web-browser, new gesture support and the ability to type using voice input.

Motorola have a history of launching updates very slowly outside its native US , so we're just hoping we don't have to wait too long to see it in the UK !

The Motorola XOOM currently runs on Android Honeycomb and features a 10.1 inch touch-screen (1280*800p), dual-core processor, 5 mega-pixel camera and 32GB of on-board memory.

Once 3G finds out when the Motorola XOOM Android 4.0 update will come to the UK, we'll let you know.
