LG have announced the LG Spectrum, which is a new premium Android smartphone that has a fantastic screen.
The huge 4.5 inch touch-screen runs at a resolution of 1280*720 (720p) and features IPS (In-plane switching) technology. The end-result is that it has a higher pixels per inch (PPI) count than the iPhone 4S's Retina display.
The rest of the Spectrum's specification isn't too shabby either and includes a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor and 1GB of memory. The rear-facing camera comes in at 8 mega-pixels and is capable of recording 1080p HD video.
The LG Spectrum comes with a 16GB microSD card for storing all your files and supports 4G in the US. Sadly, it'll launch on Android Gingerbread but will be upgraded to Ice Cream Sandwich shortly after launch.
So far the LG Spectrum has only been confirmed in the US but we're hopeful it'll come to our shores. As soon as 3G hears anything more about the LG Spectrum we'll let you know !
