Huawei have confirmed that their MediaPad tablet will launch running Android Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0).

The Huawei Mediapad was announced back in November and will hit the stores in the first quarter of this year.  When it was first announced it was expected to run on Android Honeycomb, but we're glad Huawei have seen sense and included Android 4.0.

The Huawei Mediapad is a compact tablet that has a 7 inch touch-screen with IPS technology and is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor. It also has 1GB of RAM and comes with 8GB of on-board memory.

The Mediapad also has a rear-facing 5 mega-pixel camera and a front-facing 1.3 mega-pixel camera.

3G still doesn't have an exact launch date or price for the Huawei Mediapad , but once we do you'll be the first to know.
