The Blackberry Playbook has seen its price slashed at the Carphone Warehouse. All versions of the tablet will be available at a reduced price until the 7th February.

When the Blackberry Playbook launched the 16GB version cost £399, but this latest price-cut means you can get it for just £169. Those looking for additional memory can get the 32GB version for £199 or the 64GB monster for £249.

We think this is amazing value , especially when you consider the imminent arrival of Blackberry Playbook OS 2.0 which will add support for Android applications, as well adding a number of other new features and improvements.

The Blackberry Playbook has a 7 inch touch-screen, 1 GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and comes with a 5 mega-pixel rear-facing camera and a front-facing 3 mega-pixel camera. 

We think this is a great deal and would advise anyone looking for a tablet to strongly consider the Blackberry Playbook.
