The Blackberry Bold 9790 was announced late last year and was expected to launch towards the end of 2011.

That's been and gone but online retailer "The Clove" has now added the smartphone to its store with the launch date listed as January 20th. They've also added the Bold 9790's price which comes in at £342 for a SIM-free model.

The Bold 9790 has a classic Blackberry appearance and features a touch-screen, QWERTY keyboard and touch-pad. It's powered by a 1 Ghz dual-core processor, has 8GB of on-board memory and a 5 mega-pixel camera.

In terms of connectivity it will support WiFi, 3G , Bluetooth and NFC. We presume it'll launch running on Blackberry 7 and be upgraded to the recently announced Blackberry 7.1 shortly after its launch.

Both O2 and Orange have confirmed they'll be stocking the Bold 9790 and if we hear anymore about the smartphone we'll let you know.
