First Direct have released a new application for the iPhone which enables its customers to take advantage of "Banking On The Go".

The application is the first to allow customers to transfer money on their mobile. With the First Direct application you can easily transfer money between accounts on your iPhone , as well as authorise payments. Additionally, you can view your latest 20 transactions and view your latest balance.

Many banks have launched iPhone applications including Natwest and RBS, but this is first fully featured Banking application for Apple's device.
