Tesco Mobile is an MVNO ( Mobile Virtual Network Operator ) just like Virgin Mobile and has plans to take over the top MVNO spot from Virgin Mobile.
An article from Mobile Today said that Tesco Mobile now has 2.5 Million customers and has just had its best ever Xmas period.
Tesco Mobile's airtime growth in 2010 delivered double digit growth each quarter say Mobile Today. In addition, the 12 month iPhone contract deal offered by Tesco Mobile drove growth upwards.
Lance Batchelor, CEO of Tesco Mobile and Tesco Telecoms said: ‘Tesco Mobile is well on its way to becoming the number one MVNO in the UK. It is continuing to grow its pay-as-you-go and pay monthly base in a declining market space, which highlights the network's appeal to our mobile savvy nation.
