Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, X10 mini and X10 mini pro users will be disappointed to learn that their handsets will not be updated to Android 2.2. The news was supplied by Sony Ericsson to the Android Community website.
Sony Ericsson Xperia users currently have Android 2.1 ( Éclair ) available to them. There were of course, a few months delay in getting the Android 2.1 Éclair update to Xperia owners. But now with no opportunity to update to Android 2.2 we are sure Xperia owners may feel let down.
Android Community also learnt that Xperia owners will receive some improved features which don't require Android 2.2. The first of these will be a multitouch update in the first quarter of 2011.
