Huawei has announced the IDEOS X5, its latest smartphone in the IDEOS range of devices. The IDEOS X5 smartphone comes with Android 2.2 and features the latest email, document, and calendar management tools.

The IDEOS X5 comes with a 3.8 inch TFT capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 800 x 480. The camera is a 5 megapixel and comes with auto-flash, 720p video recording / playback and benefits from SRS professional audio effect.

The browser on the IDEOS X5 is the Internet Google Native browser. Other features included are : A-GPS/Compass, Aldiko E-book reader, Roadsync (Microsoft Exchange Email solution - Office & PDF reader ) and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The Huawei IDEOS X5 will be available in ASIA from January 2011 with Europe to follow. No pricing was released.
