Motorola Xoom Gets Android 3.0 First

Pocket Lint in discussion with Google and Motorola company representatives confirmed that the Motorola Xoom will be the first tablet with Android 3.0 ( Honeycomb ).
In conducting their interview, Pocket Lint further learnt that a joint working party from Google and Motorola had been working to bring this to fruition in a way that took advantage of the Xoom's features and in particular it's Tegra dual core processor.
In the same interview, Motorola said that Google and itself had agreed a number of additional features for Android specific to the Xoom. These would come in the future and two such cited features were a connected media player and some Motoblur-type features. This update would be later in the year by OTA, Pocket Lint were told.
Earlier this month, Digitmes outlined that Motorola had ordered 800K Motorola Xoom tablets from its suppliers.
The jungle drums are busy today with many websites saying the Motorola Xoom will available as early as February, 14th while others suggest April time, but there is nothing official as yet.
