iPhone Sales Reach 100,000 In First Week On Vodafone
![]() |
The hugely anticipated iPhone launch on Vodafone took place last week.
In the week since the launch Vodafone have sold 100,000 iPhones. Even though this figure includes pre-orders, it’s still a hugely impressive number. Considering the iPhone has already been on the market for over a year the sales are even more impressive.
The iPhone will be moving onto Pay As You Go on Vodafone in the coming weeks and it’s anticipated that this will bring another increase in sales.
The iPhone is now offered on O2, Tesco and Orange which means that competition is now intense. However, so far we haven’t seen a competition on price but seen them trying to differentiate with applications and other extras.
Amazingly, the latest predictions suggest that global iPhone sales will reach over 80 million by the end of 2012.
