US : LTX Corporation announced that Rising Micro Electronics (RME) has selected the X-Series test system for testing of its 3G cell phone TD-SCDMA transceivers and WCDMA transmitters and receivers. RME, located in Guangzhou, China, specializes in the design of high speed, high frequency communication RFICs (Radio Frequency Integrated Circuit).

As a part of this selection, RME has also utilized LTXs local applications support resources to develop the test programs for their TD-SCDMA and WCDMA devices. Working with RMEs engineering staff, the LTX team rapidly developed and qualified the test programs, and facilitated the transfer to RMEs subcontract test providers for production testing.

RME selected the X-Series because of LTXs comprehensive approach to addressing our test challenges from test development through production ramp, noted Steve Wang, CEO of RME. LTXs local applications engineering staff worked closely with our team to develop optimized test solutions for our advanced TD-SCDMA and WCDMA devices. When it came time to transfer testing to our subcontract test providers, LTX continued to support us and our test partners to ensure a smooth, trouble-free transition to volume production.
