US : LTX Corporation announced that RDA Microelectronics has selected the X-Series test system for testing of its devices for 3G and 4G handset applications. RDA, a leading fabless RF IC company in China, will utilize the X-Series at its local subcontract test providers for a broad range of handset components, including TD-SCDMA and GSM transceivers, DVB-S tuners and FM tuners.

LTX and RDA also announced that they have entered into a strategic agreement designed to allow close cooperation and collaboration between the companies. The agreement enables prioritized test program development and timely deployment of LTX X-Series test systems to RDA's manufacturing test suppliers to meet RDA's forecasted demand.

At RDA, we needed a test solution that we could count on to support our rapid growth and our broad product portfolio, noted Vincent Tai, chief executive officer of RDA Microelectronics. We chose the LTX X-Series because of its broad, flexible capabilities and its local availability for test development and production test at our subcontract test providers. In addition, the recent expansion of LTXs operations in China was a critical factor in our decision. It clearly demonstrates LTXs commitment to the region, and assures RDA that we will have the expert applications support we require as we advance our product offering and grow our business.
