| ZTE - "Lets 3G" |
|
20th January , 2004 |
|
Under the theme “let’s 3G”, ZTE (Hall 3, Booth H1-H2) will show how its technology and applications smoothly take customers from 2G and 2.5G to 3G. In addition, ZTE will share its ideas with the industry for future 3G network construction and explain its strategy for building a sustainable 3G value chain that can create revenue for operators as well as vendors. “At ZTE, we have continued to invest more than 10% of our revenues into research and development and that commitment – coupled with our vast experience in the mobile arena – gives us a great confidence in helping our customers evolve their networks into the new and exciting world that 3G has to offer,” said Mr. Xie Daxiong, Senior Vice President “3GSM has come at an exciting time for ZTE and for the market. We are looking forward to showing visitors what we are developing and what already available to them now from ZTE – in Europe and anywhere around the world”. ZTE, which was formed in China less than 20 years ago, has expanded rapidly and has sustained a compound growth rate of nearly 35% for the last three years. As a leading brand in the wireless field, ZTE can provide tailor-made 2G, 2.5G, and 3G solutions to customers worldwide. In the year 2003 alone, ZTE won GSM contracts outside China valued at USD 150 million and its CDMA products have found applications in over 20 countries around the globe, with over 12 million subscribers. As China’s most successful and experienced wireless equipment supplier, ZTE had initiated its trace and research on 3G technologies as early as 1998 and has made significant progress ever since. Now,
ZTE has been fully ready to provide a whole set of matured commercial
WCDMA products including 3G unified service platform, wireless network
planning and optimization. ZTE has proven the capabilities of its
proprietary WCDMA solution under stringent test conditions set by
the Chinese Ministry of Information Industry. In the outfield tests
starting from 2001, ZTE has already deployed more than 10 large-scale
pre-commercial systems in collaboration with operators like China
Mobile, China Telecom and China Netcom. |
