Samsung
USA Launch New Colour GPRS Wireless Phone |
|
8th January 2003 |
|
Consumers never have to worry about forgetting their camera again. With the v205, Samsung's first wireless phone with an embedded camera for the U.S. market, consumers can capture and share those special, unexpected moments in life. From a daughter's first lost tooth to a best friend's bachelor party, the v205 captures memorable moments in vibrant color. The v205's main screen supports 65,000 colors and displays images and downloaded screensavers crisply and vibrantly, while the external LCD allows for Caller ID with animated graphics. Users also can choose to set pictures they take to appear as wallpaper on the phone or can assign pictures to serve as caller ID on the main display. GPRS high-speed data connections and the v205's dedicated one-touch camera button allow users to take up to 100 pictures and send images via email to another Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS)-enabled phone or to any email address -- all within a minute. High-speed wireless data connections also give users the opportunity to rapidly access Internet content, corporate Intranets and games. Whether users are in sales, real estate or just taking a vacation from the office, the v205's professional productivity tools, including personal information manager (PIM) with calendar, alarm, calculator, to-do list functions and currency exchange keep pace with any lifestyle. "The v205 adds a new dimension to the wireless experience with its fully functional embedded camera, allowing users to quickly and easily snap pictures and share them at any time," said Peter Skarzynski, senior vice president of wireless terminals, Samsung. "This is a feature-packed phone that places convenience in the hands of consumers." The lightweight,
three ounce v205 includes tri-band capabilities and allows users to
travel worldwide while taking advantage of the embedded camera and advanced
phone features. |
