Global roll-out of Android 4.3 for the Xperia SP has begun

Owners of the Sony Xperia SP in Australia can download and install Android 4.3 on their smartphone, which marks the start of the global rollout of update to owners of Sony's smartphone.

Therefore, it shouldn't be too long before the update lands in the UK, Europe, the US and the rest of the world.

As always SIM-free owners of the Xperia SP will get the update first, while those with operator-branded handsets will have to wait that bit longer.

The release of Jelly Bean is also imminent for the Sony Xperia T and the Sony Xperia V. While, Sony are also busy working on the release of Android KitKat (4.4) for the Xperia Z1, Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia ZL Xperia Z and the Xperia Tablet Z.
