Samsung Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S4 mini go black

Samsung Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S4 mini enter the dark zone.

Samsung has announced that the Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S4 mini will come in a new black edition as can be seen above. The company say it’s part of their plan to bring more premium design choices to consumers.

Both the Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S4 mini will be sold with sleek black packaging, complete with a matching set of black accessories including the power adapter, data cable and headphones.

The new black editions will feature a leather-like textured black back cover and bezel. But that’s not all. They also come with a range of eight dedicated wallpapers for both the home and lock screens and a number exclusive ringtones.

The Galaxy S4 will soon be superceded by the Galaxy S5 but its still a great smartphone and comes with a 5 inch Full HD Super AMOLED display with a ppi of 441. The main camera is 13 megapixels and offers a Dual Camera function to provide simultaneous use of both front and rear cameras. It’s still lagging in respect of Android KitKat but that is expected soon.

The Galaxy S4 mini comes with a 4.3” qHD Super AMOLED display, with a smaller form and weighs in at just 170 grams. If you want a Galaxy S4 that’s easy to carry and operate with one hand then the mini is the obvious choice. It comes equipped with a 1.7GHz dual core processor and supports many intuitive features and services provided by the Galaxy S4.

The new Black Editions of the Samsung  Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S4 mini will be available in select markets from February this year. Both the black S4 and S4 mini will be coming to the UK.
