Nokia have unveiled the Nokia X range of smartphones at MWC 2014 and all 3 of the new smartphones run on the new Nokia X software platform, which is a forked version of the open-source Android platform that brings you the best of all worlds.

On the new operating system you can install Android apps from the Nokia Store, but sadly you won't be able to access Google Play or Google's core services (such as Google Maps). You will however get access to key Microsoft services (such as Skype, OneDrive and Outlook) and signature Nokia experiences (including Nokia Drive, Nokia Here and Nokia Mix Radio).

The Nokia X platform features a tile-based home-screen similar to the Windows platform and utilise 'Nokia Fast Lane' which enables you quickly and easily switch between applications.

The 3 new smartphones are all powered by a dual-core 1GHz Snapdragon processor and come with dual-SIM support.

Nokia's X is the lowest priced of the 3 smartphones (at 89 Euros) and comes with a 4-inch IPS display (800*480 pixels), 512MB of RAM and 4GB of on-board storage. While, the Nokia X+ bumps the RAM up to 768MB, comes with a 4GB microSD card and will be priced at 99 Euros.

The Nokia XL is the most expensive of the 3 at 109 Euros and it comes with a larger 5-inch display (800*480 pixels), has 768MB of RAM and a 4GB microSD card. It also boosts the rear-facing camera to 5 mega-pixels , while it also adds a front-facing 2 mega-pixel snapper.

The Nokia X is now on sale in Europe, Asia-Pacific, India, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa. While, the Nokia X+ and XL will roll-out to the same markets in the 2nd quarter of 2014.
