Samsung's Galaxy S4 is probably the most anticipated smartphone in the world right now. Those keen to get their hands on Samsung's smartphone may not have to wait long because fresh rumours suggest that the Galaxy S4 will be unveiled on March 15th!
Samsung are thought to be unveiling the next-gen Galaxy S4 at an “Unpacked Event” with the mobile due to land in stores in April. This validates previous rumours which suggested an April launch and that date would also give the Galaxy S3 a full year on sale before being eclipised.
The Galaxy S4 looks set to break all sales records with Samsung predicting that they'll sell 10 million Galaxy S4's every month, which doesn't seem unreasonable considering they sold 40 million Galaxy S3's in just 7 months.
Why would Samsung launch the Galaxy S4 when the Galaxy S3 is still dominating?
The Samsung Galaxy S3 is indeed still selling very well, but the smartphone is coming under increasing pressure from other next-gen smartphones. Recently, we compared the Galaxy S3 to Sony's Xperia Z where we concluded that the latter is the new "King of Android".
The Mobile World Congress starts at the end of this month when a fresh batch of challengers will be gunning for the Galaxy S3. Samsung don't want to give their competitors too much of a head-start and therefore unveiling the Galaxy S4 sooner rather than later seems like a smart and necessary move.
