Fresh information has now been reported online which suggests the update should land any day now.  An Android 4.1.2 service manual for the Galaxy Note has appeared over at Samsung's site which highlights its imminent arrival.

The latest version of Android Jelly Bean will bring a number of improvements to Samsung's phablet. However, what's even more significant is that the update bring the latest version of Samsung's Premium Suite to the Galaxy Note.

Galaxy Note owners will now be able to enjoy all the latest S-Pen applications on their device including S-Pen, S-Memo. Paper Artist and My Story. The addition of the latest Premium Suite alone is enough to warrant updating, but you also get all the benefits of Android 4.1.2 as well.

Improvements brought by Android 4.1.2 itself include support for "Multiview" which enables two different windows to be displayed simultaneously.  In essence owners of the Galaxy Note will now be able to enjoy true multitasking for the first time !

Additionally, the Galaxy Note will benefit from the "Page Buddy" feature which opens up dedicated home-screen based on a users actions, such as plugged in headphones. Furthermore, support for continuous typing , ala Skype, is also added while the operating system is faster and more reliable.
