Nokia have unveiled the Nokia Lumia 720 and the Lumia 520 at the Mobile World Congress which is currently taking place in Barcelona. Both smartphones offer users the chance to experience Windows Phone 8 at a lower price-point than the Lumia 920 or Lumia 820.
Nokia Lumia 720
The Lumia 720 sits below the Lumia 820 and is part of Nokia's Windows Phone 8 range and will be priced around 250 Euros when it hit stores this summer. So what do you get for your money ?
Nokia's Lumia 720 has a 4.3 inch IPS touch-screen display (800 * 480 pixels) enclosed in a stylish and vibrant uni-body design. The smartphone is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor and has 512MB of RAM, while it comes with 8GB of on-board memory which can be expanded using microSD cards.
One of the Lumia 720's major strengths is its 6.7 mega-pixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics which has an LED flash, auto-focus and a large f/1.9 aperture. While, the smartphone also has a front-facing 1.3 mega-pixel snapper for video calling.
The Lumia 720 comes pre-loaded with the critically acclaimed Windows Phone 8 platform and can be charged wirelessly thanks to an optional snap-on wireless charging cover. The mobile will land in stores in the second quarter of 2013 and will be available in a choice of five colours (Red, Yellow, Cyan , White & Black),
Nokia Lumia 520
The Nokia Lumia 520 is Nokia's most affordable Windows Phone 8 smartphone sitting just below the Lumia 620 in the range. The smartphone will be priced at just 129 Euros and will land in the 2nd quarter of 2013.
Nokia's Lumia 520 has a 4 inch IPS LCD display running at a resolution of 800 * 480 pixels and is powered by a dual-core 1 GHz processor. While, the mobile has 512MB of RAM and comes with 4GB of on-board memory which can be expanded using microSD cards.
Nokia's smartphone also has a 5 mega-pixel camera capable of recording 720p videos and comes with a number of Nokia applications pre-loaded including Nokia Music and the HERE suite. The Lumia 520 will be available in a choice of five colours (Yellow, red, cyan, white & black) and will land in the UK in the second quarter of 2013.
