Nokia Lumia 510 - Budget Windows Phone Landing In UK

Nokia Lumia 510

The Nokia Lumia 510 has been available to buy in select markets from October of last year , but it's still yet to land in the UK. However, Nokia have now confirmed that the affordable smartphone is coming to our shores very soon.

Nokia's Lumia 510 looks set to become the most affordable Windows smartphone taking over from the Lumia 610.The price is expected to be around £100 and as you'd expect for a smartphone in that price-range it runs on Windows Phone 7.5, rather than the recently launched Windows Phone 8.

What is the specification of the Lumia 510 ?

The Nokia Lumia 510 has a very similar specification to the Lumia 610 , but it comes with a larger 4 inch touch-screen. The smartphone's touch-screen runs at a resolution of 800*480 pixels which is pretty reasonable for a mobile priced at £100.

The Lumia 510 is powered by an 800 Mhz processor and comes with 256MB of RAM, which although not spectacular is more than enough to run Windows Phone 7.5 smoothly. On-board memory weighs in at 4GB which is boosted by 7GB of included Skydrive storage.

Nokia have pre-loaded the Lumia 510 with a number of applications including Nokia Drive, Nokia Transport and Nokia Maps. While, the smartphone also has a 5 mega-pixel camera which has exclusive digital lens functionality.

When will the Nokia Lumia 510 be available to buy ?

Nokia have only listed the device as "Coming Soon" and havn't given any precise details on when the Lumia 510 will land in the UK.  However, we can't see it being more than a month before it becomes available to buy.

We also don't know which UK operators will stock the Lumia 510 nor we do have any details on how it'll be priced. As soon as 3G get more news we'll let you know.
