Google Nexus 4 Wireless Charger To Land In UK Soon ?

Nexus 4 Wireless Charger

Google launched the Nexus 4 back in November and sales have been so good that the smartphone has been out of stock for large periods of time. We're not surprised by success of the mobile because we were very impressed by the LG Nexus 4 giving it 4.5 stars in our review.

When Google announced the Nexus 4 they unveiled that wireless charging would be made available for the mobile. However, until now the Nexus 4 Wireless Charger hasn't been available to buy on Google Play.

Google have now added the Nexus 4 Wireless Charger to the US version of Google Play where it's priced at $59.99 (£40). The accessory will ship in the US on February 14th , but the bad news is that it's listed as "Currently not available in your country" on the UK version of Google Play.

We don't see any reason why the Nexus 4 Wireless Charger shouldn't become available in the UK very soon. One possibility for its current unavailability is that Google have not produced enough or they are yet to produce versions for UK power outlets, but neither problem should take long to resolve.

The Nexus 4 Wireless Charger uses QI inductive technology to charge Google's smartphone. While, the angular "orb" docking station enables you to continue to use your Nexus 4 while it's charging. The accessory can fully charge your smartphone in 4 hours which is pretty reasonable.

3G is waiting for the day when every smartphone supports wireless charging. However, we're still some way off universal wireless charging, but at least the technology is gaining momentum. When we get news about the Nexus 4 Wireless Charger becoming available in the UK you'll be the first to know !
