The LG Optimus G has been talked about since last August, but at last, LG have officially confirmed that it will arrive in the UK sometime soon. The Optimus G did launch in ASIA late last year and now it’s our turn - we will see it available to purchase either this month or early in March.
The Optimus G has quite a handy specification and piggy-backs onto the highly successful LG Optimus series of smartphones. This one, being the latest, benefits from the latest version of Android 4.1.2 ( Jelly Bean ) and is also 4G compatible.
The Optimus G is the first smartphone to arrive in Europe with a True HD IPS Plus display and Zerogap Touch technology. LG say that these two new technologies bring a real sharpness to its display and provide the most sensitive touch experience of any LG smartphone to date. The screen size is 4.7 inches with a display screen resolution of 1280x768 IPS resolution, nicely protected with Gorilla Glass 2.
A fuller specification for the LG Optimus Pro can be viewed here.
“Since the successful initial launch of the Optimus G, LG has continued to improve the smartphone to offer better usability and value for our customers,” said Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. “We’re excited to be bringing to Europe the improved Optimus G, our most powerful Quad-Core device optimized for 4G LTE networks.”< Back
