Sony have already announced their first dual-core Android Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone, the Xperia S and it looks like they'll announce two more at the Mobile World Congress later this month.

The two new mobiles will be called the Sony Xperia U and the Sony Xperia P, that is information provided by the Indonesian Regulatory board proves correct. We've heard about both mobiles previously when they were known as the Sony Xperia Nypon and Sony Xperia Kumquat respectively.

Both smartphones adopt a similar design to the Xperia S, which is Sony's flagship Android smartphone but are more affordable due to slightly lower specifications.

The Sony Xperia P (Nypon) is expected to have a 1GHz dual-core processor, 4 inch touch-screen (960*540p) and an 8 mega-pixel camera. It's price is expected to come in at around £300, which is significantly lower then the Xperia S (£430).

The Sony Xperia U (pictured above) will be even more affordable and will feature a 3.5 inch touch-screen (854*480), 1 GHz dual-core processor and a 5 mega-pixel camera. We're not sure what price it'll come in at but we assume it'll be significantly lower than £300.

Once 3G gets anymore news about any new Sony smartphones or tablets you'll be the first to know.
