Sony Showcase Xperia P and Xperia U Smartphones At MWC !

 

Sony Xperia NXT Range

Sony have unveiled the next two smartphones in its NXT series , which incorporate the best of Sony's technology and premium entertainment features.

 

The two new smartphones are the Sony Xperia P and the Sony Xperia U, which were showcased at MWC 2012, which started today in Barcelona.

 

The first NXT smartphone was the Sony Xperia S and the two new smartphones also incorporate the same design including the "transparent element", which is band that encircles the base of the mobile.

 

Both new smartphones also feature a Mobile Bravia display meaning they have amazing clarity and colour reproduction in all light conditions. They also both come with 1 GHz dual-core processors and will ship running on Android Gingerbread, which will be upgraded to Ice Cream Sandwich after launch.

 

Sony Xperia P

 

The Sony Xperia P is a stylish smartphone with an aluminium uni-body and is the first Sony smartphone to feature WhiteMagic display technology.

 

The 4 inch Mobile Bravia touch-screen has WhiteMagic technology which ensures the screen is visible in all light conditions. Furthermore, it automatically adjusts the display's brightness to match the surrounds which also saves power !

 

The Xperia P can also be docked in an exclusive docking-station which turns the smartphone into an entertainment hub which can be linked to multiple displays. You can also use a TV remote to browse your smartphones media library and use a wireless keyboard and mouse when the phone is docked.

 

The Sony Xperia P is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor, has an 8 mega-pixel camera, 16GB of onboard memory and supports WiFi, 3G, NFC and Easy HDMI. The Sony Xperia P will launch in the second quarter of 2012 and as soon as we get more details we'll let you know.

 

Sony Xperia U

 

The Sony Xperia U is a compact multi-media smartphone that has some excellent music features. Infact, it features Xloud and Sony 3D surround sound which ensures crisp music playback with amazing quality.

 

You can also stream music to wireless speakers using the Xperia U's built in DLNA technology. The Xperia U is also compatible with Sony's Smart headset which can be used to playback music and control your smartphone !

 

The Sony Xperia U has a 3.5 inch touch-screen with Mobile Bravia technology, 1 GHz dual-core processor,  5 mega-pixel camera and will be available in a choice of White and Black with support for exchangeable base caps.

 

Just like the Xperia P the Xperia U will launch on Android Gingerbread in the second quarter of 2012 and will be upgraded to Ice Cream Sandwich shortly after launch.
