The disappointment of learning we won't see the Galaxy SIII at this years Mobile World Congress (MWC) hasn't yet worn off, but rumours about a new Samsung Galaxy SII (pictured above) being unveiled certainly help !
A new device called the Samsung Galaxy+ (Plus) has appeared on benchmark site An3DBenchXL, which has led many experts to conclude that the smartphone will be unveiled at MWC later this month.
The benchmarks show the Galaxy SII+ has a 1.5 GHz processor, which is faster than the 1.2 Ghz dual-core processor on the original SII. The thing which we worry about is that the benchmarks took place on Android Gingerbread and we'd expect a new Galaxy SII to come with Android Ice Cream Sandwich.
Our instincts say that Samsung might want to extend the success of the Galaxy SII, just like Apple did with its iPhone 4S so we wouldn't be at all surprised to see an upgraded version announced at MWC at the end of the month.
Further adding to the credibility of this leak is the recently announced Samsung Galaxy S Advance, which is an improved version of the original Galaxy S , which is due to be unveiled at MWC.
As soon as 3G gets even the slightest hint of any new information you'll be the first to know.
