Nokia Lumia 900

The Nokia Lumia 900 was announced last month at the Consumer Electronics Show  , but the UK launch won't happen until June . That's because the Lumia 900 comes with LTE , which isn't supported in the UK, so changes will need to be made to either the mobile's software or hardware.

Since the Lumia 900 was announced we heard rumours that an improved version, the  Nokia Lumia 910, would launch in the UK in May . The Lumia 910 was expected to launch with a 12 mega-pixel camera, which is improved from 8 mega-pixels on the Lumia 900.

However, that information has now been quashed by Nokia employee Damian Dinning, who is head of Imaging Experience Of Nokia Smart devices. He claims that no such device has ever existed , which means users in the UK will have to wait till June to get their hands on the Nokia Lumia 900 (pictured above).

Nokia are attending MWC later this month in Barcelona and it's still possible that they will showcase the Lumia 910, because employees may have been told to stay quiet about the smartphone. However, looking back it does seem unlikely that Nokia would launch the successor to the Lumia 900 before the original even hits the stores.
