Earlier in the month we reported on information leaked by HTC Benelux that the HTC Sensation range would be upgraded to Android Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0) in March. That information has now been officially confirmed by HTC on their Facebook page.
Owners of the HTC Sensation, Sensation XE (pictured above) and Sensation XL can look forward to getting the latest in mobile operating system technology. The update will bring Face Unlocking, Visual Voicemail, Beam and much more !
However, its not such good news for owners of other HTC smartphones because HTC stated that they would be upgraded "later in the year", which doesn't sound like the update is coming anytime soon. Other mobiles that will eventually get updated to Ice Cream Sandwich include the HTC Desire HD, HTC Desire S, HTC Incredible S and the HTC Evo 3D.
Once 3G hears anything more about HTC updating any of its smartphone to Ice Cream Sandwich you'll be the first to know.
