Last month we reported that the Apple iPad 3 would be announced in February, which was based on information given by Japanese site Macotakara . The site themselves got their information from an unnamed Asian supplier.

The same site has reported that they originally reported incorrect information and are now claiming that the Apple iPad 3 will be unveiled in March.

They still claim Apple will hold an event in February, but it won't be the iPad 3 that's unveiled. They reported that Apple's event in February is a "strange one", so it could be they will unveil a new piece of software or a hardware accessory.

Apple has historically unveiled new iPad's in March , so we wouldn't expect that to change this year. The excitement is already building here at 3G and we're hopeful that the next Apple iPad comes with the rumoured quad-core processor and Siri !
