The Apple iPad 3 looks set to be unveiled next month, which isn't too unexpected because Apple always unveil a new iPad in March. However, the reason we are reporting this information is that previously it was rumoured that Apple would unveil the new iPad this month.

New information from All Things D suggests that Apple will announce the new iPad next month and they also shared some rumours about its specification.

Apparently, the iPad 3 will come with a Retina display running at 2048x1536 pixels, which will maintain the 333 pixel per inch density featured on the iPhone 4S. It's also expected to have a quad-core processor, which will really boost the gaming potential of the device !

The one major area of doubt now is whether the new iPad will be the Apple iPad 3, or the iPad 2S. With Apple's recent history we wouldn't be at all surprised to see the iPad 2S, which could add Siri support and minor hardware improvments.

However, 3G is still hoping we see the Apple iPad 3 which will be more revolutionary than the iPad 2S !
