Acer Rolling Out Android 4.0 To Iconia A200 and A500

Acer have announced that both the Iconia Tab A200 and the Iconia Tab A500 will be upgraded to Android Ice Cream Sandwich (4.0).

The information originated from Acer New Zealand and stated the update for both devices would hit in April.  Although we don't have confirmation of the update hitting the UK, we don't see any reason why it shouldn't launch at the same time.

When both devices get updated to Android 4.0 they'll benefit from a number of new features including Face Unlocking, Visual Voicemail, Beam support and support for WiFi direct. You can read more about the new features and improvements brought by Ice Cream Sandwich by clicking here.

The Acer Iconia Tab A500 was awarded European Tablet of the Year by EISA and it got a glowing review when it was reviewed by 3G.co.uk. You can read the full Acer Iconia Tab A500 review by clicking here.

As soon as we get official confirmation that the update will hit the UK and a time-frame for their released you'll be the first to know.
