Samsung Wave II Now On Sale

The Samsung Wave II has arrived in the UK and is currently on sale. The good news is that it comes with a free entertainment package.

The Wave II is Samsung's flagship smartphone and is driven by Bada ( version 1.2 ) which is Samsung's proprietary operating system. Apps can be found on the Samsung App store. "Social Hub" offers users the chance to view their phonebook, social networks, instant messenger and email together in one location.

It was way back in June that the original Wave was launched and we undertook our Samsung Wave Review about that time and we concluded "All in all it's a very usable and fun phone. You just need to get to grips with its quirks.

Now the mark 2 has arrived and this can be bought via O2 and Phones 4U. However, we could not locate it on O2's website.

The Wave II has a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash, image editor and face detection. HD video playing and recording is available. The display is 3.7 inches with 16 million colours, Super Clear LCD screen which Samsung say is anti-scratch and anti-reflective.

It also comes with a 1GHz (Cortex A8, Humming Bird) processor, 2GB of on-board memory and facility to add a 32GB microSD card.

If you buy a Samsung Wave II before 31st March then you qualify for a free entertainment package. The gaming offer lets you download apps from the Samsung App Store for free and includes FIFA 10, Assasin's Creed, Need for Speed and more from EA Games and Gameloft.
