Samsung unveiled the Samsung Wave 578 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
The new smartphone is powered by Samsung’s own Bada operating system and supports Near Field Communications (NFC), which enables contact-less payment and data exchange.
The Wave 578 has a 3.2 inch touch-screen display, 3.2 mega-pixel camera and a front-facing VGA camera. As well as supporting NFC it also has Bluetooth and WiFi support. Other features include a 3.5 mm headphone socket, FM radio, 100MB of on-board memory, microSD support and a music player.
The Samsung Wave 578 comes with Quicktype by t9 Trace which makes typing up to three times faster than standard and supports 75 languages. It also features a rich communication suite (RCS) that enables you to bring together various social networks into one manageable place.
The Samsung Wave 578 will launch across Europe in May 2011.
