No Full Honeycomb for Smartphone Users

Well I think we all know that the full benefits and features of Android 3.0 ( Gingerbread ) won't be coming to smartphones. But then this was always the case as far as Google was concerned otherwise why would they say Android 3.0 was designed and optimized for Tablets.
However, we certainly expect some of the elememts of Gingerbread to filter onto smartphones. What exactly this involves Google has not officially declared.
News from Phandroid suggest that Google is already working on bringing the features and benefits more akin to smartphones to them. The opportunity exists for Google to bring Android for Tablets and Android for Smartphones closer aligned.
The introduction of these would involve lots of negotiations with developers and mobile phone manufacturers so let's not expect something in the near future.
