Motorola XOOM


Motorola confirmed at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona that the Motorola XOOM would be coming to Europe.

 

The Android-powered tablet will be available in a 3G/WiFi version and a Wi-Fi only version. It will launch across Europe and in the second quarter of 2011.


The Motorola XOOM runs on Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) which was specifically designed for tablets and won "Best Of Show" from CNET at the Consumer Electronics Show.

 

The XOOM has a 10.1 inch wide-touchscreen which runs at a resolution of 1280*800 pixels which supports HD video playback. You can also output HD content to your TV or PC using the built-in HDMI-out. It features both a 5 mega-pixel rear facing camera which can capture HD video and a 2 mega-pixel front-facing camera for video calling. The tablet is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor and has 1GB of RAM.

 

 

The Motorola XOOM will be shipping in the 2nd Quarter of 2011, but an exact launch date or price hasn't yet been confirmed.
