iPhone App for Freeview TV Launched

Freeview is the leader in digital TV services in the UK and now they have launched the Freeview iPhone app for the iPhone and iPod touch. It’s free and can be used on all iPhones ( non 3G and 3G ) and iPod touch versions. It can be downloaded at iTunes store.
The Freeview iPhone app provides iPhone and iPod touch owners the opportunity to view over 50 Freeview TV channels, HD TV channels and the programme guide.
The Freeview iPhone app includes a “Top Ten” listing and a “now and next” viewing option and customizing options such as local TV channels. It also provides a filter feature to The new app will also offer the ability to filter listings by category, search by text entry, or follow viewing suggestions via Freeview’s Twitter feed.
Currently the BBC HD channel is available on the app. ITV1 HD listings will be available shortly and Channel 4 HD listings will be added when the channel becomes available on Freeview HD.
Right now, the BBC HD channel is available on channel 50 and ITV1 HD on channel 51. Channel 4 and S4C in Wales will launch soon.
