Samsung Mobile First with Bluetooth 3.0
![]() |
Bluetooth 3.0 seems to have been around for ages ( like May 2009 ) but now at least one mobile phone manufacturer is geared up to introduce it. Samsung has included Bluetooth 3.0 in its fSamsung S8500 mobile phone which is soon to be launched.
Bluetooth 3.0 is all about a much faster experience focusing on much higher speeds for large files and multimedia files. Bluetooth 3.0 was capable ( in theory ) of data transfer speeds of 24 megabytes per second compared to Bluetooth 2.0 of 3 megabytes per second.
Looking at the unofficial details for the Samsung S8500 it has the TouchWiz User Interface and an OLED touchscreen with high resolution capability. That’s all at this stage though don’t be surprised to hear a lot about Bluetooth 3.0 and the Samsung S8500 at this month’s Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
