Garmin-Asus M10 Windows SmartPhone Announced

Garmin and Asus have joined forces to announce the Garmin-Asus M10.

The Garmin-Asus M10 is a full touch-screen mobile that runs on the latest version of Windows Mobile. It aims to satisfy business users, as well as offering a personal experience for life outside work.

The screen on the Garmin-Asus M10 is a full touch-screen 3.5 inch display. It has 512 MB ram on-board and 512MB of ROM, which make the phone load applications swiftly. It features 4GB of Flash memory for storing all your multi-media files and data.

A full QWERTY keyboard is also present which enables easy typing for emails, text messages and memos. In terms of connectivity the Garmin-Asus M10 has full 3G and WiFi support, so you’re never without an internet connection.

Any business phone needs email support and the Garmin-Asus M10 goes one better with Microsoft Exchange sync capability which enables contacts, calendar and emails to always be available.

Considering Garmin is involved, it comes as no surprise that the phone features built-in satellite navigation. It features equivalent functions to a high-end nuvi device, with lane assist, highway-mode and comes bundled with a powered cradle and windshield mount.

However, what’s more surprising in a business mobile is the social networking functions the Garmin-Asus M10 has. It gives you access to Facebook, Picassa and the 5 megapixel camera can be used in combination with geo-tagging so you others know exactly where the photos were taken.

The Garmin-Asus M10 will launch in the first half of 2010 and will be shown at the Mobile World Congress next week in Barcelona.
